In the coming days, Laurie Cardoza Moore will travel to Austin to address the Texas State Board of Education on an issue which could impact not only Texas students—but classrooms across America.

For more than two decades, PJTN has warned that anti-Israel propaganda and historical revisionism are finding their way into classrooms through curriculum, teacher training programs, and educational advocacy groups.

Today, those concerns are no longer hypothetical.

Laurie Is Taking the Fight to Austin

At the upcoming hearing, Laurie will urge Texas education leaders to carefully examine what is being taught in classrooms and who is influencing curriculum decisions.

Why does this matter?

Because what Texas adopts today could shape the education of millions of students for the next 13 to 15 years—not only in Texas, but in more than twenty other States which often follow Texas Curriculum Standards.

Among the organizations seeking greater influence over classroom content is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)—the organization which federal prosecutors identified as an “unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist fundraising operation in the history of the United States” and the same organization which Texas Governor Greg Abbott has publicly identified as a terrorist-affiliated organization—is actively working to influence how Islam, the Middle East, and world history are presented in American classrooms.

According to critics, these efforts seek to rewrite portions of U.S. and Texas history in ways which reframe Islam’s historical relationship with the West, minimize the role of radical Islamic terrorism in events such as 9/11, and reshape how students understand the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

PJTN believes students deserve historical accuracy—not political indoctrination.

Laurie will address concerns about:

• Anti-Israel and anti-Semitic narratives entering educational materials
