Global Leader of Christian Organization States UN Secretary General Guterres Must Resign

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Nashville, TN (October 26, 2023) – Laurie Cardoza Moore, President of the international pro-Israel organization Proclaiming Justice to The Nations, is calling on the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres to resign for his outrageous statement inferring that Hamas, a terrorist organization, was justified in its vicious slaughter of innocent men, women and children in Israel. He has even gone so far to infer it was Israel’s fault.

On Tuesday, Secretary General Guterres stated, “It is important to recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum.” Thus essentially legitimizing a terrorist organization’s unprovoked attack on civilians in a UN member state.

He further stated; “the Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation; they have seen their land steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their economy stifled; their people displaced; and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing.”

Ms. Cardoza Moore stated; “To suggest that Israel is occupying Arab territory is disingenuous and legally, historically, archeologically and biblically inaccurate. As the leader of the United Nations, Guterres would do well to go back and review history, including the San Remo Resolution that ratified the right of the Jewish people to establish their homeland in Israel. In 1922, fifty-two members of the League of Nations also approved that resolution. The Secretary General is essentially fueling the violence through his false accusations.”

During the vicious slaughter that Guterres refuses to publicly condemn, women, elderly people, children and babies were brutally raped to the point that their pelvic bones were broken. Babies and small children had their heads cut off, people were burned alive and all the Secretary General could muster to say was, “the attacks didn’t happen in a vacuum”?

“As a person of Portuguese descent, I am embarrassed and outraged by the lack of leadership and the obvious legitimization of the dehumanization of our Jewish brethren in their ancient, God-given homeland. It is evident that Guterres is descended from the same Portuguese leaders who executed one of the most horrific genocides in history, the Portuguese Inquisition. It is obvious that Guterres still carries the DNA of that Portuguese Jew-hatred,” stated Ms. Cardoza Moore.

She further stated; “As an award-winning documentary filmmaker, I have studied and researched the history of the torture and dehumanization of the Jews in Portugal 500 years ago during the Inquisition. Guterres is continuing that sickening legacy by supporting Hamas by not publicly enacting sanctions and global condemnation against Hamas.”
