Magen David Adom, Israel’s “Hands of Medical Mercy”: In 1930, the Magen David Adom organization was formed in Israel as a volunteer association to provide emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank services from a single branch in Tel Aviv. Now, some 90 years later, the organization serves to provide highly trained and mobilized medical support teams across Israel, serving not only the Jewish people but also Arabs, Muslims, Druze, Christians and all in need, wherever and whenever needed. In this episode, we spotlight the Magen David Adom organization and how they are truly Israel’s “extended hands of mercy.”
